Southside Virginia ASAP
Community Service
You have been referred to the Southside Virginia ASAP for supervision of your court-ordered community service. Important information related to this referral can be found here. However, should you have additional questions, you may contact your Southside Virginia ASAP Case Manager on WEDNESDAYS or FRIDAYS with questions at 434-572-4939.
You will be allowed to choose a worksite that is convenient to your work schedule, place of residence, and is of personal interest to you. However, there are some standards that must be met before the worksite will be approved. For example, the worksite must be a non-profit agency as designated by the IRS. Most commonly, these agencies will be 501 (c) (3) agencies. Examples of such agencies are Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Goodwill, YMCA, The Humane Society, or local museums, parks, and libraries. Once selected, the agency must be approved by your Southside Virginia ASAP Case Manager before you may start your hours. You should use the Worksite Request Form provided to you to enter your request to use an agency. If you misplaced the said form, you may obtain a second copy by clicking the button below.
To complete enrollment into our program, the Worksite Request Form must be returned and your supervision fee must be paid. Your enrollment letter will provide you with a due date for both items. Failure to comply with this deadline will likely result in your case being returned to the referring Court as non-compliant. For your convenience, you may use the button below to pay your community service supervision fee online. You mail also mail a money order to our office to make payment. NO payments are accepted by telephone for your protection.
The fee for this supervision is set by the referring Court and is in accordance with the Fee Schedule approved by the Commission on VASAP. The Community Service fee schedule is:
Upon completion of the hours, the pre-approved worksite must return the Community Service Order Agreement to the Southside Virginia ASAP office. NO OTHER COMPLETION NOTICES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
