Southside Virginia ASAP
The Southside Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program is one of twenty-two local ASAP programs in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Each ASAP operates under the Commission on VASAP. The Southside Virginia ASAP proudly services the counties of Appomattox, Brunswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, and Prince Edward.

Effective June 1, 2024, the Piedmont Alcohol Safety Action Program was merged with the Southside Virginia ASAP. You are now being supervised under the Southside Virginia ASAP office. While our office is located in South Boston, Virginia, services will be provided throughout the new Southside Virginia ASAP service area. You should not experience any additional level of travel if you comply with all VASAP requirements. Moving forward, it is our expectation to provide you with enhanced and optimal services.

MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the Southside Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program is to improve highway safety by decreasing the incidences of driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs, leading to the reduction of alcohol and drug-related fatalities and crashes.
In addition, the Southside Virginia ASAP seeks to provide intervention and supervision services to the Juvenile & Domestic Relations, the General District, and Circuit Courts, the local school jurisdictions, and the general public through the use of ancillary programs.
