The Southside Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program is one of twenty-four local ASAP programs in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Each ASAP operates under the Commission on VASAP.  The Southside Virginia ASAP services the counties of Brunswick, Halifax, and Mecklenburg.

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Southside Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program is to improve highway safety by decreasing the incidences of driving under the influence of alcohol and other drugs, leading to the reduction of alcohol and drug-related fatalities and crashes.


In addition, the Southside Virginia ASAP seeks to provide intervention and supervision services to the Juvenile & Domestic Relations, the General District, and Circuit Courts, the local school jurisdictions, and the general public through the use of ancillary programs.
